is a multi-user VR platform that lets people view and understand spatial content more easily than is possible on a screen. It supercharges the comprehension and communication of 3d data types and unlocks powerful new methods for collaboration.
The main idea is that holding and inspecting something is always clearer and more intuitive than working on a screen. 3d models, 3d scans, point clouds, gaussian splats, stereoscopic videos and images can all be held and inspected like this, in a multi-user setting.
The platform has been specifically developed to ingest data sizes far exceeding what is offered by other mobile VR social platforms. We have even managed to load 3d meshes in excess of 1 million polygons with texture data exceeding 32k with no issues (on Quest3).
All objects can also be re-sized (using the thumbstick vertical axis) and if animation data is present this can be scrubbed through (backward or forwards using the thumbstick horizontal axis), providing a unique and powerful method for communication;
For example you could load a model of a jet engine, pick it up, re-size it and then scrub through an animation that explodes the engine into its separate components whilst discussing these components with colleagues and moving the exploded model around.

Holding a 3d scan of a city block in our hands we can communicate the layout and features for an overview before enlarging it so we can walk around and communicate the details.
There are no pop-up 2d menus or Ui features that the user needs to learn. SharedSpatial is designed to be an intuitive ‘spatial’ experience instead.
SharedSpatial spaces are private secure servers hosted on the AWS elastic compute cloud for ultimate network performance. The platform can host up to 10 simultaneous users and the only requirements are a WiFi connection and Meta Quest 3 headset.
